About us

With more than 50 years since its inception, the ‘Be a Tidy Kiwi’ logo and movement is recognised and cherished by over 85% of New Zealanders. As a registered charity, our mission is to empower communities to “take action” in cleaning up and protecting Aotearoa/New Zealand’s environment for future generations.

Our focus areas include:

Reduce

Reuse

Recycle

Responsible Disposal

Our Goals

Placing the community at the heart of everything we do, we strive to ensure Aotearoa is a beautiful environment to live, work, and visit, while protecting our natural heritage for future generations.

Why we do it

BATK is well placed to be a community partner driving collaboration between councils, brand owners, retailers, NGO’s, the waste industry and education sector to continue developing more efficient recycling waste solutions for Aotearoa.
