Building Cleaner Communities Together

Be a Tidy Kiwi is proud to hold the New Zealand license for the Clean Community Assessment Tool (CCAT) — a vital framework for measuring and managing litter and waste in our communities.

This September, we had the privilege of hosting Rob Curnow from Australia for a hands-on CCAT training session with teams from Auckland City Council, EcoMatters, and BATK.

Rob brought a wealth of expertise, guiding trainees through best practices for developing sustainable systems to support annual CCAT data collection and analysis across Auckland.

“Everyone involved enjoyed their time on the course, learning not just how to collect data, but how to turn that data into meaningful action,” said Ewan Warrender, Chair of Be a Tidy Kiwi.

Following the training, participants were awarded a CCAT certificate from Rob Curnow, as well as a BATK certificate presented by Ewan Warrender — recognising their commitment to cleaner communities.

A huge thank you to all involved in making this training a success. Here's to smarter, stronger, and more sustainable communities across Aotearoa.
